Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Lead complete mechanical project execution from planning to help I & C team and to final handover to the customer.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activities between design, purchase, quality, and service teams for smooth project flow.
• Ensure timely delivery and adherence to customer specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct project review meetings, track progress, and implement corrective actions for delays.
• Review and interpret 2D & 3D drawings of machine parts, sub-assemblies, and fabricated structures.
• Supervise the fabrication, machining, and assembly of mechanical parts and systems.
• Monitor machine utilization, manpower planning, and production efficiency.
• Identify and classify in-house vs. outsourced jobs based on capability, cost, and timelines.
• Develop and manage a reliable supplier base for machining, fabrication, and other outsourced activities.
• Evaluate supplier performance on quality, delivery, and cost.
• Manage tool room operations — including jigs, fixtures, gauges, and special tools development.
• Supervise machining processes such as turning, milling, grinding, drilling, etc.
• Ensure adherence to ISO and quality management systems throughout the production cycle.
• Plan and monitor material requirements and inventory levels.
• Control production costs, wastage, and resource utilization.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Provide training and guidance on production methods, safety, and quality standards.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
Experience:
• 03–05 years of experience or more in mechanical production management, project execution, and fabrication.
• Hands-on exposure to machine building / SPM / fabrication / automation equipment industries preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CREO, or other 3D design software.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrications, sheet metal, and machine assembly operations.
