Eddy Current Dynamometer
The dynamometer comprises:
- Single & Twin Rotor 30 kW to 800 kW with Dynamometer controller and digital indicators for speed and torque configurations
- Speeds up to 10,000 RPM
- Torque up to 5000 Nm
- Provides equal, bi-directional loading capabilities
- The basic electro-mechanical unit mounted on trunnion bearings
- Mounting arrangement for magnetic pick-up and load-cell.
- Through-shaft design allows either end of the dynamometer to be driven and to accept additional dynamometers in tandem plus a variety of accessories including starting systems.
The Dynamometer is provided with following safety features:
- A pressure switch & a flow switch for low in-let water pressure and low water flow alarm.
- A pressure gauge (glycerin filled) of 0 – 2kg/cm2 range is provided on the inlet water pipe
- Two temperature sensors on either side of loss plates of the dynamometer to constantly monitor temperature of cooling chambers and prevent overheating which might occur due to insufficient water supply Two temperature sensors on the either side bearing housings which constantly monitor rotor bearings temperatures.
